Polaris Composite Squadron Meeting Notes November 20, 2007
An email regarding gravel ground handling of aircraft has been distributed

Operations
Policy Letter 23 regarding CAP Scholarships has been revised. Three Cadets
and three Senior members will be selected each year for scholarships to be
used for aviation education and training. If you are interested, please see
Kevin for the notice.
A 182T is coming soon to the Squadron. Also a 185 is supposed to be coming
soon. If you can, get a checkout in both of these aircraft. The 182T has a few
differences from other 182 aircraft in the fleet.
The Beaver door post AD compliance repair is completed. We hope to have a
Beaver back in the hanger soon.

The Beaver and C-185 that we anticipate for the squadron are
reported to
be in maintenance.
The check pilot course will be held this weekend, November 23,24,25. The
class will begin on Friday at 6:30pm. Bart Stone, Derwin Hammond, Robin
Broomfield, and possibly Ed Kornfield will be available for check rides.
The Alaskan Aviation Safety Foundation donated a copy machine to CAP.
Carl asked members of the squadron to support the AASF with a membership.
Cadets helped to dismantle a glider at Ft Richardson this past weekend.
Kevin presented the Safety Spiel.
Holiday season is the season when some people imbibe. Kevin will
provide a ride, any time or place, to any member that needs a ride home
but cannot find another ride. Please do not drink and drive. We need all
of our members.
