Meeting Notes

June 26, 2007

Mel Sheppard will be acting commander June 29 through July 23 while Kevin is on vacation.

July 10 meeting Leah from Wing will brief on how to use WMIRS.

A meeting will be held here, June 27 from 6:00 to 6:30 PM to discuss the changes to 5^th avenue that will also affect squadron access. 

A new Archer training class is recruiting attendees.

Safety Meeting – Guest speakers were John Sternagle, FAA Safety Team; and David Caralouis, FAAST Manger.

The FAAST team is managing the Wings program.  They are making some changes that will make the program more:

1. Accountable
2. Defined curriculum
3. Coordination

Set up personal information

Provides online knowledge segment

Document training

Need 3 ground and 3 air credits to gain a new Wing level.

Objective is to encourage regular proficiency training.

Mr. Sternagle also gave an interesting presentation on Airworthiness Limitations.
