The National Check Pilot
Standardization Course (NCPSC) will be held May 17-19 in Anchorage at the
OAS Complex, 4405 Lear Ct starting Friday the 18th at 6pm. The Contact

- A Squadron cleanup and cookout was scheduled to be held Saturday
June 16 starting at 9 AM. Please bring a potluck dish to share.
- Aircraft availability
- C-172 87 hrs/100 47 hrs/oil This aircraft
will only be with us until it goes on floats.
- Beaver 40.4 hrs/100 hr and oil
- June 1 - 10 is the tentative date for a SAREX.
The Kenai Peninsula Air Fair will be May 19. Activities start at the
Soldotna Airport from 0800-1100 and at the Kenai Airport from 1300-1500.
The Seward Cadets posted the colors for the American Legion conference
recently in Seward. Way to go Seward Cadets.
The Birchwood Cadets will have a plane wash this weekend in Birchwood.
Suggested donation is $40 for a wash.
The Guided SAR this past weekend went well. All aircraft flew 46 hours
and 16 sorties.
- The Alaska 99s will have a flying companion seminar this weekend at
the Mat Su College. For more details, contact Angie Slingluff.
- Medical - had a discussion of low back pain. This is usually muscle
pain. A muscle spasm causes pain which causes more muscle spasm. Almost
always it is bio-mechanical from overuse. Use good lifting techniques
and strengthen your back muscles so they can handle the stress. Use
aspirin or another non-steroid anti inflammatory medication for relief.
- The door handle on the back door is fixed.
- Three more cadets joined the cadet meeting last night.
- Safety Spiel was presented by Howard Teas. Use all resources to keep
track of things happening in relation to your flight.
- Kevin is going to update the Polaris staff roster so get any
corrections to him tonight.
