Beaver has 49 hrs/100 hr and oil
C-182 has 24.7 hrs/oil 55.2 hrs/100 hr This aircraft is only here
temporarily and is scheduled to go back to maintenance to fix an oil leak.
It is flyable as is.
Marv has his C-206 parked on the ramp to provide check rides to anyone
who needs a C-206 checkride.
Make sure pilot files are up to date. The most common deficiency is
expired membership documentation.
The guided exercise is May 12. Please try to show up at the squadron to
help crew aircraft or to work around the squadron radio room.
The annual squadron safety evaluation is due.
For the information of those who do not know, the FAA is issuing plastic
credit card type pilot licenses. These will be issued upon a new rating,
changing from SSN to FAA generated pilot number, or upon request.
The cadets are leaving for San Francisco tomorrow to attend the regional
drill team competition. The cadets won the privilege of representing the
Wing a couple of weeks ago in a competition at Ft Richardson.
The Squadron Unit Inspection was held last weekend. Thanks to all who
showed up to be evaluated.
Reminder the Alaska Airmen's sponsored Trade Show is this weekend. CAP
will have a table, and request help staffing the table.
Safety Spiel was presented by Kevin. Use
your checklist. Even if it is an aircraft that you are very familiar with,
use the checklist to ensure you do not inadvertently forget something that
is important and that could ruin your day.
