The Lake Hood Taxi procedures will be reviewed during
our Safety Meeting on 30 Jan. 2007. It is mandatory for all pilots to attend
this briefing.
For new members, the Level 1 course and Cadet
Protection courses are to be completed online. New members will also receive the CD in their membership packets. You must bring your completed
certificate into the squadron to receive credit for completion. To get to

Safety Spiel - Carl Siebe talked on the pilot responsibilities that accompany accepting a "maintain visual separation" instruction from ATC.When a pilot accepts this instruction for separation from a heavy jet,the pilot also accepts responsibility for wake turbulence separation also. One technique may be to not acknowledge that you have visual separation, which forces ATC to provide that service.
