The contractor for the
Anchorage Amateur Radio Club is having a field day at Kincaid, June 28, 2008. If you are interested in amateur radio this will be a good chance to see what it is all about.
The Thunderbirds will be practicing during the week prior to the Elmendorf Air Show June 28 and 29. Expect some airspace restrictions during the week. Call 552-SHOW with any questions.
Nosewheel aircraft will be coming and going throughout the summer. If you need a nosewheel airplane for a checkout or proficiency, keep checking.
The SAREX for the end of June is not yet approved.
A tail wheel clinic is scheduled for the weekend after July 4.

For the upcoming exercise, anticipate a simulated disaster
that will take down Wing communications. Polaris
will assume communications duties. Anticipate
a possible flight on Friday, with the heavy flying on Saturday and into Sunday.
If tasked with a time sensitive flight, try to get launched and meet the
schedule (i.e. the ferry departing
Palmer Colony days celebration is this weekend.
Cadets are going to
Udo presented the safety spiel. While taxiing out recently for a flight, a newly installed instrument in the panel caught fire. Lesson learned is know your emergency procedures. Also elderly passengers who had been briefed on exiting the aircraft were not able to do so.
ELT search yesterday, crew found
A found, previously lost, pair of sunglasses was removed from the C-185 and are in Kevin’s box.
Mel indicated Wing had provided some relief on recommendations for checkouts in the amphib aircraft.
